crafting goals completed for November 2025

Crafting Goals for November

Tags: crochet, embroidery, inspiration, knitting, quilting, spinning, toy making

November came and went quickly, probably because I was away for 2 weeks at my daughter's.... grandchildren zap your time and energy for sure, but then I wouldn't have it any other way! Somehow I still managed to make progress with my goals.... here’s what I managed! ..... (for a lowdown what my Crafting Goals were for the year, see my blog post Crafting Goals 2025)

For quilting: A new flower block every month

Achieved! November's flower block is a Daphne Flower. I made another non-pink flower, although it could have been pink.

For Knitting: A Challenge to complete my 25 for 2025 list. Here is the challenge: Knitting/Crochet 25 for 2025 challenge

More crossed off!

This month, I managed to cross off three more categories:

  • #16 Deep Pattern Stash
  • #21 Use Beads
  • #24 Lace-weight pattern

Other than my epic project, which is more than 3/4 completed (so technically crossed off), I have completed the entire list.

....and my Deep Pattern Stash: Bejewelled. This shawl includes beads and uses my hand-spun yarn too, so it is nice to complete an entire project with hand-spun. This one needs a good blocking and now my lace-weight shawl is done, I'll get to it!

For Spinning: 5 grams of roving each day all year

    More achieved

More spinning completed this month.... but because I was away, I had to leave the plying until I arrived home again. I finished the bobbin I started last month and decided to spin a pink and green roving to go with it. I'll add this leftover tan to the ply as well. Should be a nice combo!

    For Crochet: A temperature blanket

    November is done!

Some cooler nights because I was down south (see the grey surrounded squares) Just one month left to go!

Toy Making: A gnome challenge by Sarah Schira (one every month).

    11th Gnome Completed!

November's gnome was a new gnome by Sarah Schira and I just had to make it. This one is called Gnoel. I love the colorwork, don't you? This may well be my favorite!

I finished him in plenty of time to sit him on my sill before my trip south.... I see some antics going on there, do you?

Embroidery: Make a small Redwork ornament each month.

    Procress!

I started stitching my redworks into decorations. I changed them from the instructions to add beads around the outside. I've completed six so far.

What a good feeling it is as many of my goals have been or will be completed... I'm looking forward to making (perhaps fewer) goals for the new year. Have you thought about what you'll be making?
