Another month, and another update on my crafting for 2025 (see blog post Crafting Goals for more information) Wow, we're already more than 3 months through the year!
For quilting: A new flower block every month
Achieved! My new flower for March was Linum Perenne. Another blue flower. I'm rather partial to blue so it is nice to add yet another to my collection

For Knitting: A Challenge to complete my 25 for 2025 list. Here is the challenge: Knitting/Crochet 25 for 2025 challenge
Progress Made! Now that the test knit I was working on in February has been released, I can add in those two categories: Using my hand-spun and cowl. (I've also updated last month's post to reflect this).

I can also cross off the Shawl this month as I finished Positive Vibrations. This was another 2024 WIP as well.

Here's how the challenge looks so far....

For Spinning: 5 grams of roving each day all year
Achieved! All my colorful advent roving is now completed. It has been plied and in hanks ready to wash. This will then be put in my stash.... most likely for the next blanket I make, which won't be until next year - I can only manage one per year!

In the meantime, I've continued with the roving I started toward the end of last year.

Isn't it gorgeous? I joined a mystery roving club at Dreamfire Artisan Yarns and this is one I received last year. I cannot wait to catch up and get into more of their delicious roving.
For Crochet: A temperature blanket
Progress Made! Big progress here as I've now crocheted around the outside of both January and February blocks.

March is also completed. We had some very hot days near the end of March (the dark centers). You will also notice some very pale squares for the last 5 days. This is when I arrived in Canterbury. It is quite a bit cooler down south! These squares I've bordered with grey yarn instead of white to show the difference.

Toy Making: A gnome challenge by Sarah Schira (one every month).
3rd Achieved! Savour the Gnoment is another large gnome. I love how she is knitting her own hat!

On the window sill - the number of gnomes is growing and my granddaughters were quite impressed to see a knitting gnome. Next month's gnome is a mystery knit so I don't even know who will appear!

Embroidery: Make a small Redwork ornament each month.
Achieved! Another little ornament is completed .....and I started another embroidery too. More about that later!

I'm delighted with my progress through March in spite of being away for the last week. How are your crafty goals coming along?
