    Supplies Needed for This Design

    • SEVEN 2½" sqs in shades of peach (min 3 fabric)
    • TEN 2½" sqs in shades of yellow (min 3 fabrics)
    • FIVE 2½" sqs in shades of orange-red (min 3 fabrics)
    • SEVENTY‐TWO 2½" sqs in shades of blue ranging from very light to dark blue (min 20 fabrics)
    • ELEVEN 2½" sqs in shades of tan/brown (min 6 fabrics)

    For pieced border: (see photo for help)
    • ONE 6" x 12" rectangle of peach
    • ONE 2½" x 4½" strip of yellow
    • ONE 2½" x 4½" strip of medium orange-red
    • ONE 6" x 8" rectangle of dark orange-red
    • FIVE 2½" x 6½" strips of blue, ranging from very light to dark
    • ONE 2½" by 9½" strip of medium tan
    • TWO 6" x 8½" rectangles ‐ one medium light tan, one dark tan

    • ¾ yd black fabric (borders and binding)
    • 13½" by 2½" brown fabric for tree trunk
    • 12½" by 8½" green fabric for tree leaves
    • 4" by 2½" orange fabric for sun
    • Scraps of blue, white, red, green, yellow, purple for yachts and brown for coconuts
    • Approximately ½ yd fusible web
    • Embroidery threads to match applique fabrics
    • Thread for piecing and quilting

    Question: I've clicked the download link and nothing happens, what should I do?
    Chances are the pattern is downloading in the background. Give it a moment then check your file app (iphone) or download folder (in My Files or File Manager on android) to see if the file is there. If it isn't, before trying again, try the suggestions in the trouble downloading question below.
    Question: I'm having trouble downloading the pattern, is there anything I should do?
    Yes, the most important thing to do is turn off any popup blocker. Popup blockers prevent the download window from being seen by you, yet we will not know about it so each time you try, it will appear to us that you have attempted to download the pattern.
    Here is a full list of things to try:
    • Ensure that no pop up blockers are enabled
    • Ensure you are using a stable connection - wifi is better than phone data
    • Clear your cache and cookies
    • Try a different web browser, as well as private windows to rule out any browser issues
    • Ensure the web browser is up to date and that the latest device software is up to date
    • Try another device, like another computer, tablet, or mobile phone

    Designed by Emma McFarland, this is the first in a series of patterns. The instructions give full detail and graphics on how to place the background shades to give just the right combination and she also included quilting instructions which include driftwood for the shoreline and sun rays. This easy-to-follow quilt pattern will guide you to having this project finished in no time at all.
