- Description
The African violet (Saintpaulia) is a small, charming flowering plant known for its velvety leaves and clusters of delicate blooms that come in shades of purple, pink, blue, or white. The heart-shaped leaves typically grow in a symmetrical rosette pattern which is how this block is designed.
This pattern features full-sized template pieces, a true-to-size layout guide, and step-by-step instructions. As for all Ruth's applique flower blocks, her preference is machine applique using free-motion stitching however there are a number of alternative methods that can be used. Instructions included in this pattern are:
● Machine applique
● Hand applique
● Embroidered (by machine and hand)
● Quilted
● Applique and Embroidery combined (by machine or hand)
