Wow, week 3 already! Time flies when you are having fun and I'm certainly having fun with this Challenge. Click the following links if you missed my post about the Benefits of Taking Photos or Tips for Inspiring Topics
The world around you is brimming with inspiration - you just need to capture it! Daily photo-taking is a simple yet powerful practice that helps you discover patterns, textures, and colors in everyday life. Here is my collection of photos for this week.
My week 3 photos
Day 1: Red Hot Pokers that are yellow - such a pretty sight
Day 2: Stone walls are always interesting for texture or layout
Day 3: the Pohutukawas are flowering in Auckland, for those who may not know, this is known as New Zealand's native Christmas tree
Day 4: Beets growing in my garden - I just love the colors here. The bright green plays well with the dark red of the beet
Day 5: Very colorful crocheted baubles - maybe I'm on a bit of a colorful kick this week. Of course, using the concept of circles, could also make an interesting layout
Day 6: These nastrutiums are also pretty colors... and I love the shape of the leaves!
Day 7: I snapped this photo off the internet - be careful if doing this, you don't want to copy someone else's work. For this, I'm just using the idea of lines as a possible quilt layout. For me, I'd maneuver the blocks with obvious X's to alternate with the blocks that don't.
Sketches and/or Notes
Christmas in New Zealand.... I just had to pick the pohutukawa flower. It is so pretty and very interesting to see where the flowers bloom from. It may just become an addition to my BOW flower block collection.
