fabric strips to sew together

Most of us have a big stash of fabric but often we still don't have the right fabric or a piece is simply not large enough.

This happens to me often! One particular time, I needed a background fabric in a light value and I just didn't have a fabric large enough so I made my own. I did this by joining pieces I had left over from other projects.

Fortunately, I had quite a few light valued scraps. They varied from white, to cream, tan, pale blue and pink.

I started by sorting out the smallest pieces and joining those together. As the piece grew, I added larger pieces. To show you exactly how I created my fabric, I thought it would be easiest by making a video. I hope you will check it out!

This is just another way of being creative!
