The very last month of 2025 was extremely busy for me, as most Decembers are. Somehow I still managed to complete my goals.... here’s how I got on! ..... (here's the lowdown of my Crafting Goals for 2025)
For quilting: A new flower block every month
Achieved! December's flower block is a Pohutukawa. This beautiful red flower is well-known as New Zealand's Christmas tree as it blooms in December - the beginning of summer in NZ. You can check out my full blog post about this block here: NZ's Christmas Tree
For Knitting: A Challenge to complete my 25 for 2025 list. Here is the challenge: Knitting/Crochet 25 for 2025 challenge
Completed!
Last month I completed my list with included 3/4 or more of my temperature blanket. This month, I managed to finish all the squares in my temperature blanket and even started stitching up the blocks. Here are the blocks partly stitched together.

My other self-challenge was to have all knitting projects finished for 2025 - I cast off my last test knit on the 30th of December and now looking forward to new knits for 2026. There is a sneaky preview in the banner image!
For Spinning: 5 grams of roving each day all year
Achieved
More spinning completed this month.... I had a lot of fun with my roving advent and managed to spin all the little packages each day of December up to and including the 24th. I really enjoy this advent.

I chain-plied this together to make a beautiful wool and now need to wash it as well as decide what to use it for.

I also 3-plied my last month's spinning.

And then started to spin another roving which has silk in it, so it is very fine.

For Crochet: A temperature blanket
December is done!
I'm so pleased to have completed the year. I have to admit, I struggled at times, and some weeks I fell a little behind but still achieved the monthly goal. Next month, I'll be working on finishing this epic project by crocheting the blocks together and adding a border.

Toy Making: A gnome challenge by Sarah Schira (one every month).
12th Gnome Completed!
December's gnome was a mystery gnome by Sarah Schira and a lot of fun to make. He looks so cool with his special little ski set.

Embroidery: Make a small Redwork ornament each month.
Finished!
I finished all my redwork embroideries and then some.... although the extra wasn't redwork.

As I was working on the redwork decorations (which I gave away, all but 3, at Christmas), I was also embroidering another project that I hadn't mentioned because it was a Christmas gift for my Mother. I really enjoyed making it and hope she enjoys it just as much.
