Echinacea better known as Coneflower can be made in many colors - white, yellow, pink, orange, red, and purple. The petals are created as one whole section and divided with stitching however these could also be made separately by cutting along the stitching lines indicated on the pattern templates.
This flower could be easily enlarged to create a center block on a bed quilt.

- Small amounts of fabric for applique
- 10½"-12½" square of background fabric, batting and backing fabric
- Machine embroidery threads to match applique fabrics and darker threads for edges (outlining).
- Small amounts of fusible web
- General sewing supplies including sewing machine
- Teflon sheet or parchment/baking paper
- Optional: stabilizer to help avoid puckering when stitching
