Gloriosa superba better known as Flame Lily or Fire Lily is Ruth's 60th flower block. With the bright flame like petals, you can certainly see where it gets its name. The flower is created with individual petals making hand applique possible although the pattern is written for machine applique. This flower could be easily enlarged and still look fabulous with all its detail.
