Please note that while other software options exist, this workshop will focus on these two methods for a comprehensive learning experience.

For hand drawn foundation:
- Pencil and Paper (graph paper may be used but not necessary)
- Printed photo - I suggest making a copy. Printing one from your computer makes it easy to reproduce if need be. Note: Please abide by any copyright protections laws if you are using someone else's photo
- Tracing paper
- A scanner or copier to reproduce the foundations if making more than one of the same foundation - optional
- Scraps of fabric to test your block
EQ8 drawn foundation:
- Digital photo
- EQ8 software (EQ7 can be used too however the layout may appear different than presented)
- Paper and printer to print out templates
- Scraps of fabric to test your block
