Wow, week 3 already! Time flies when you are having fun and I'm certainly having fun with this Challenge. Click the following links if you missed my post about the Benefits of Taking Photos or Tips for Inspiring Topics

The world around you is brimming with inspiration - you just need to capture it! Daily photo-taking is a simple yet powerful practice that helps you discover patterns, textures, and colors in everyday life. Here is my collection of photos for this week.

My week 3 photos

Day 1: Red Hot Pokers that are yellow - such a pretty sight

challenge day 11: golden red hot pokers along an iron fence

Day 2: Stone walls are always interesting for texture or layout

challenge day 12: a stone wall

Day 3: the Pohutukawas are flowering in Auckland, for those who may not know, this is known as New Zealand's native Christmas tree

challenge day 13: a pohutukawa flower - the native Christmas tree of New Zealand

Day 4: Beets growing in my garden - I just love the colors here. The bright green plays well with the dark red of the beet

Challenge day 14: beets growing in my veggie pod

Day 5: Very colorful crocheted baubles - maybe I'm on a bit of a colorful kick this week. Of course, using the concept of circles, could also make an interesting layout

Challenge day 15: a bunch of crocheted baubles

Day 6: These nastrutiums are also pretty colors... and I love the shape of the leaves!

challenge day 16: nasturtium flowers and leaves taken inside a greenhouse

Day 7: I snapped this photo off the internet - be careful if doing this, you don't want to copy someone else's work. For this, I'm just using the idea of lines as a possible quilt layout. For me, I'd maneuver the blocks with obvious X's to alternate with the blocks that don't.

Challenge day 17: an image taken from the internet of crocheted granny squares that can create a quilt layout idea

Sketches and/or Notes

Christmas in New Zealand.... I just had to pick the pohutukawa flower. It is so pretty and very interesting to see where the flowers bloom from. It may just become an addition to my BOW flower block collection.
