Wow, 6 months of the year gone already! Where did that time go? Thus far, I've managed to keep up with my crafting goal however, during June I was away for three weeks so it was a struggle at times. Let's see what I actually achieved.... (for a lowdown what my Crafting Goals were for the year, see my blog post Crafting Goals 2025)
For quilting: A new flower block every month
Achieved! June's flower block is called Hellebore (Winter Rose) - It is in the buttercup family and not closely related to the rose family at all.

For Knitting: A Challenge to complete my 25 for 2025 list. Here is the challenge: Knitting/Crochet 25 for 2025 challenge
More Progress Made!
Another couple of categories checked off this month and some double-ups too. I counted what was left of the list to check off - there are 7 - four I am working on, so already cast on and the three others I have plans for - just need to slot them in before the end of the year!
#6 Cables and #8 Cardigan - I completed this long-line cardie this month to cover both categories.

#13 Mohair - I had checked this off last month with the completion of the Go Go Dynamo Shawl however that didn't use a lot of mohair. This month, I completed a cowl for a friend's birthday gift that uses much more!

For Spinning: 5 grams of roving each day all year
Achieved!
I surprised myself at achieving this as it isn't always easy to spin with a little 1yr old granddaughter wanting to touch everything!
I began this beautiful roving in May and finished spinning it around the 10th! I have two bobbins but managed to pick up another pack, so won't ply it up until that is spun too.

While at Woolfeast in Christchurch, I purchased this lovely 112g braid. Being a larger pack than normal, I wasn't quite finished by the end of the month so I'll finish spinning it and then plying it in July. I already have a project picked out to knit this - one from my knit list for the year!

For Crochet: A temperature blanket
Progress Made!
June's block is complete. My days down South show very cool temperatures. Can you tell when I went north?

Toy Making: A gnome challenge by Sarah Schira (one every month).
6th Achieved!
"Oh Gnome, You Didn't" was the gnome I knitted for June. I added little bells to the end of his jester hat instead of tassels.

I noticed the seven gnomes now sitting on the windowsill are growing smaller!

Did you notice the additional gnome apple tree? It has golden delicious apples hanging on it.

Embroidery: Make a small Redwork ornament each month.
Achieved!
Another ornament added to my collection. This one's a cutie, don't you think?

I'm so looking forward to no travel for July and hoping to do a little more crafting, especially in the embroidery line. I also have plans for additional crochet. How about you?
